Rather than dismiss my concerns, he explained what could be causing the symptoms and ordered tests to determine what could be causing blood to pool subcutaneously. I appreciated that he recognized and factored in my previously fractured clavicle into potential reasons for some of my issues. Especially with fine lines, sunspots, and overall texture. Jenna the nurse also created a personalized skincare regimen for me, which has helped maintain my results in between visits. I really appreciate how thoughtful and customized their approach is. I’m already looking forward to my maintenance treatments this Fall! Highly recommend!

I recently had a breast augmentation with Dr. Dolen on March 10th and couldn’t be happier. I had two consultations in the past with two other plastic surgeons and out of them Dr. Dolen was the only one that took measurements of my breasts and felt my breast tissue for any masses during my consultation. He thoroughly explained the procedure to me and the different types of implant placements and implant types and made me feel very confident in his expertise which is why I decided to have my surgery with him. The front desk staff, nurse Jenna, and PA Julie along with Dr. Dolen made it such a great experience. I had my surgery at McHenry Hospital and also had a great experience with the same day surgery team, OR team, and PACU team. I highly recommend Dr. Dolen for any plastic and reconstructive surgery needs!

Dr. Dolen and his entire team are perfect in every way. I was diagnosed with breast cancer and had a double mastectomy in October 2024 with reconstruction. I could not have picked a better team to perform my reconstruction and manage all of my post surgical care. Dr. Dolen and PA Julie were very informative and caring on the very first consultation visit. He did a thorough review of my situation and also listened to what I wanted and what my goals were and made his recommendations from there. They also made sure to explain to me how to prepare for the surgery and what to expect. After the initial surgery, the entire staff was so caring and continued to check in via consistent calls, messages, and in person appointments. It was clear that Dr. Dolen and team truly cared about my surgery and aftercare and I wasn’t just a number. All of my concerns were always taken very seriously and I knew my full care was of their highest priority. The reconstruction results are great and exceeded all of my expectations on what was possible after double mastectomy. Dr. Dolen, PA Julie, Nurses Jenna and Abby, and front desk are all amazing and I highly recommend! Having a great team made all the difference in my breast cancer treatment and I never felt alone. Dr. Dollen did a breast reconstruction after cancer for me. He did a fabulous job! If you want a plastic surgeon who is professional with a great bedside manner, who does not sugarcoat, yet who is gentle, Dr. Dollen is the surgeon for you. I felt heard and totally cared for. Questions and concerns were thoroughly responded to. Also, he made sure that he or his assistant would be available 24/7. The kindness and thoroughness of his medial staff has to also be acknowledged. Dr. Dolan and his staff’s main concern was to make me as comfortable as possible throughout the process. His medical staff was professional, friendly and did a fabulous job! They were always available. His front office staff was the most awesome! They worked hard to get all insurance authorizations in a timely manner. Their friendliness and professionalism is the best received from any doctor’s office. All in all, this is the best place to come for plastic surgery!

I want to share my mom’s experience with Dr. Dolen. She had breast implants 35 years ago and has been living with chronic pain ever since. Despite seeing multiple doctors over the years, she never got a clear explanation for her discomfort. That is, until we found Dr. Dolen. After her first visit, my mom felt hopeful again, as Dr. Dolen took the time to thoroughly explain the cause of her pain. My mom eventually had surgery, and she is now doing much better. The entire staff was incredibly kind and went above and beyond to help with insurance issues, always treating my mom with the utmost respect and compassion. I highly recommend Dr. Dolen without hesitation.

On thing that really stood out to me happened right before my double mastectomy surgery. While Dr. Dölen was marking my breasts, the anesthesiologist tried to come in to my room not knowing that I was already being seen. Dr. Dölen quickly covered me up instinctively, as if it were a reflex. I felt so respected in that moment! After surgery he was actively checking in to make sure I was feeling ok & healing ok. It is clear that he values his patients and that their health, healing, and satisfaction is a high priority to him.

Jenna, his assistant, is SO kind, always with a smile on her face and a friendly welcome. When I had my first appointment she put me at ease and made me feel extremely welcomed. She is very responsive and quick to answer messages, get prescriptions filled, and schedule appointments. I greatly appreciate her!

Even the front desk staff is extremely welcoming! I am always seen quickly upon arrival but my appointments are never rushed. Dr. Dölen makes sure I understand everything he’s said and that all my questions are answered. Jenna makes it a point to escort me back to the waiting room.
