Breast Case #6520
Before
After

35-year-old female patient with a history of breast augmentation 12 years prior presented with chronic pain and fatigue. Medical evaluation did not identify a specific endocrinologic or immunologic disorder, and her symptoms were considered in the context of breast implant illness. She underwent removal of 421-cc silicone breast implants with total capsulectomy, followed by mastopexy to reshape the remaining breast tissue, performed by Dr. Dolen. Postoperative photographs are shown 9 months after surgery, demonstrating a natural breast contour following explantation. The patient reported improvement in her symptoms following implant removal; however, individual outcomes may vary.
