Implant Exchange Lift Case #1447
Before
After

A 61-year-old female with a history of bilateral breast augmentation with mastopexy performed 23 years earlier presented with implant-related concerns. She previously had 420 cc saline breast implants in place, with rupture of the right implant while the left implant remained intact. Dr. Utku Dolen discussed the option of revision with breast lift to optimize breast position and contour; however, the patient elected to proceed with implant exchange alone. Dr. Dolen performed bilateral implant exchange with removal of the prior implants and placement of 360 cc smooth silicone low-plus profile implants to restore breast shape and improve symmetry. The postoperative photographs were taken 9 months after surgery and demonstrate well-healed incisions with improved breast contour, restored volume, and balanced overall symmetry.
